MAC Studio Fix Tech Cream-To-Powder Foundation

I purchased this as I wanted pretty much what the name says, a compact foundation which was a cream but had a powder finish. I purchased this in store so was color matched by an associate. My first issue is the color is not my shade. It looked good in store with everything she did but on its own it does not work. It is too orange. I wish they had an olive shade. My second more important issue is the formula itself. It applies extremely patchy. I've tried different skin prep and it always looks cakey and highlights every pore. Unfortunately I purchased it a bit before travelling and by the time I got back it was too late to return it. Now I'm stuck with a product I can't use. For reference I have normal skin, not oily not dry.

This is such a gorgeous foundation for my oily skin type. I find that you only need the smallest amount and it will give you beautiful, lasting coverage. I think where this can go wrong is if you use too much. It looks amazing over strobe dewy skin tint, which is one of my favorite ways to wear it but it's also beautiful in its own! MAC, please keep this one around!!!

I just bought my second compact. I absolutely love this product. I don't always want to do full makeup liquid foundation and I can use this just where I need it to cover my blotchy skin. It blends flawlessly and is very light weight. Perfect for our Arizona summers.

Have worn this powder for years. Never found one I like more! Although it goes on with a brush like normal powder, it's oddly creamy at the same time? Perfect coverage.

I have very dry skin so i was a little scared for this one with it being described as a natural matte finish! But it really is moisturizing and felt great on my skin. if you have drier skin i recommend a glowy base under this product, i used the ordinary rice lipid moisturizer and the danessa myricks glow serum underneath and it looked beautiful!

I figured I would try this out, but I didn't expect too much. I was very pleasantly surprised and it's now a go-to. Good coverage but not too heavy.

I personally was not a huge fan of this due to the texture and the way it would apply. I assume if you have a good amount of experience with different makeup mediums, then this may be helpful. I don't find it ideal for day-to-day use. I am beyond pale, and the shade was darker than I needed.

I love love love this product. one swipe and it goes on so smooth and natural. My only complaint is I want the exact same replacement sponge but I don't see it anywhere on the website.

This foundation has been one of my favorites since college because it's so easy to use and gives a smooth, natural finish. The cream-to-powder formula blends beautifully and evens out my complexion without feeling heavy. I especially like how convenient it is for quick touch-ups when I want my skin to look polished and courtroom ready.
