Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 24HR Buildable Soft-Matte Foundation + Oil Control

I came here after Estee Lauder changed their double wear foundation to something terrible. After using Estée Lauder for 15+ years I am trialing MAC. This foundation is similar to the old Estée Lauder Double Wear but feels a bit different. It isn't as thick as the older Double Wear but still a great alternative. It builds well and blends nicely. It leaves your face feeling soft and not oily. It doesn't last as long as the double wear personally but I still do like this as a close comparison. In the end I would recommend

For those who are looking for a replacement for the Estee Lauder foundation, this is a great alternative. But you should know, that it’s less matte and has a bit glowy effect. For me, it was even better - I got tired of the matte look already. It blends easily (but you have to work fast) and holds up all day, that’s why I loved this foundation. My skin type is combo.

I had to switch foundations after my longtime go-to changed formulas. This one looks nice—goes on nicely over my spf moisturizer and primer. Decent coverage. I set it with setting powder. I have very oily skin and I don’t see that this is especially good for that. I blot many times a day. By hour 8 or so I can see it coming off on and around my nose. I don’t see any oxidizing which seemed like a frequent complaint. Where it really sucks is a drop of water = foundation gone. Literally. Rain drop— now you have a bare spot. Forget about sweat—it just runs right off. It’s definitely not my summer foundation, that’s for sure.

I really like this foundation. It's easy to blend with a sponge or brush. Good coverage. Feels light. A little goes a long way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this makeup. I used it in the morning and it pretty much lasted all day. I did feel that the SPF held up very well on very hot days. It also did not feel super heavy like other makeup brands. I didn't match my complexion correctly but that's on me. I used some concealer to help blend everything together! This foundation has good coverage, blended smoothly and buildable. It last a long time on my skin all day. Although my skin is very dry and I had to use extra moisturizer before using it, everything worked out perfectly and did not clogged my pores. If have to choose I would pick lighter color to fit my skin better. I would recommend it overall. I used the foundation after applying my skincare in the morning. It definitely lives up to its name being matte. As soon as I blended out the foundation after a bit it started drying down. I wouldn't say you even have to use powder for this foundation, especially if your skin isn't too oily. I have combination skin that tends to be dry in the winter, do I would say stay away if you have dry skin as it may just enhance the dryness. I think this is a great foundation for oily skin.
