PURSONIC Modern Velvet Heated Hair Straightener

This product would not turn on. I kept trying but it just didn’t work. I couldn’t give it a decent review because I didn’t actually get to use it as it is intended to be used.

The modern velvet heats up quickly after a full charge. I do like that it is lightweight and cordless. It definitely helps smooth your hair and takes out the frizz. I have naturally wavy hair and I do find that it is impossible to straighten my ends.

Some fantastic pros on this modern heated velvet hair straightener which includes it being in a portable and light size. It fits similarly to a remote in your hands. It also came precharged which is awesome but it still came with its charger as well. It also heats up really fast and you don't feel the heat where your hand goes. The cons which is why I rated so poorly is that it doesn't work very well at all. Directions say to repeat the strokes until desired straightness is achieved but I had to have done at least 15 strokes and still there was a big bump from where my previous pony tail was which is included in my photos. Also there's a faint burning plastic smell that had me on alert and decided to stop use. I think overall the idea of this is great but they'll need to step up the actual use factor. A hair straightener would only need 1 stroke which trampled on this, unfortunately.

I have long wavy hair and this straightener does the trick. After using the brush, I have straight hair that does not become curly during the day. It is the right size for using and the cord can be detched. Very easy to use.

This product is very lightweight, rechargeable, and good for touchups. However, it does not hold the charge more than 15 minutes does not get hot enough to actually straighten your hair at least not heavy wavy hair. I did a side-by-side comparison with my normal straightener in this one. It just couldn’t do it however for Travel for touchups, it took two hours to charge it. It says it should be done in an hour and it only lasted about 15 minutes so like I said, it’s got its upside and its downside. Upside perfect for straightening the loose ends I mn a pinch

It’s so easy to use, but my favorite thing is that it’s so lightweight. I can put it in my purse . It’s wonderful for traveling. It makes my hair so shiny and soft and smooth. It works really well. I am very pleased with it.

This modern appliance works fairly well once you get the knack of using an unconventional straightener. I like that it's light weight and the way it brushes through the hair. On the con side I feel it dried my hair out a bit which is the reason for my 3 star review. I think/hope by using a heat protector first it might alleviate this issue.

I've tried this straightener a couple different times and it does not work on my hair that is thick, course and wavy. It worked a little better on a higher heat setting than it did on the medium setting but in both cases my waves came back shortly after. It also was not a smooth straight like I get with different irons or my brush. It may work better on thinner hair that is all one length. I do like the fact that it is portable but it takes FOREVER to charge up and I'm not sure I could do my whole head of hair on one charge.

What I like most about this product is that it is rechargeable and I can use it anywhere. There are 3 heat settings and it heats up quickly. It straightened my hair nicely, but not as quickly as a flat iron. It is very compact and stores well. It seems very durable and I expect it to last a long time.

The Pursonic Modern Velvet Heated Hair Straightener is unfortunately poorly designed and doesn't work well. Instructions do explain how to use the device but left out that you need to remove the charge cord in order to use it. I figured that out. I could only use the lowest setting since I have bleached hair. It made my curly hair dry and frizzy, not the sleek hair depicted on the box. It's quiet at least and cooled down rapidly. Holding the product is clumsy because the handle is too wide. Last, the power button is in the worst possible location and my finger kept hitting it resulting in it turning off several times. I found this disappointing and I don't feel this is healthy for my hair.
