This is excellent.
The only reason that I wrote this review was because of all the negative reviews. The only problem that I have with this has been that I dropped the basket and a piece of the handle chipped.

Disappointed right out of the box
Received the Vortex for Father's Day and had a very simple question about packaging. Has four "rubber like" spacers on the tray. Appeared fastened rather securely. I only wanted to know if they should be preyed off or if they were to remain on. No word in the instructions, and a phone call(cut off 2times) sent me an email requesting photos, video of problem, copy of receipt (a gift) and language difficulty with representative. Well I preyed them off and I'll see what comes next. 🤷♂️

This thing is GREAT but it has a very short life
We bought our very first air fryer (this one) last year (Feb. 2025). Now May 2025 and the motor is making scary sounds, reset didn't do anything. We clean it and take good care. Disappointed. Wasted $$

5 years of reliable service
My Instant Vortex Plus finally died after 5 years of amazing service and heavy daily use. I will get another in an Instant!!!!!! 5 Stars

Breaks at 13 months
It's garbage. Worked perfectly & was maintained immaculately. At 13 months (12 month warranty, these guys are GOOD at planned obsolescence) it completely died. Just blank screen, blank everything - a 3 lb paperweight. You guys are crooks. Don't waste your money unless you are looking for a 12 month rental. GARBAGE

Cannot get rid of plastic oder that permeates the food!
We have had our Vortex 6 qt. air fryer for almost a year. The size is great, cooks the food - however we have tried every recommendation we have heard of - to try and get rid of the smell while it is cooking. It is a hot plastic smell that odor permeates any/all the food you are cooking. Until they and fix this - I would not recommend!

Got it for Christmas no receipt used it a couple of times, then fan stopped no use now.

I loved it until .....
The fan stopped after maybe using it 7 times. Only had it 9 days!! Wasn't even sure it wasn't working, it just wasn't making noise and there was a plastic odor. Going back today I will try another if they have one. Very disappointed.

Burned out and died after few months
Bought this 4 months ago and last week while warming up an awful electrical burning smell all of a sudden and the unit went blank and died.
