Dyson V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum

I have been very pleased with my v16 piston ort vacuum. I like everything about it with a few minor exceptions. The release to empty the dust bin is difficult to get off. I have to put a foot on the base and push red button and pull 4 or 5 times to release. Also I can only vacuum on eco on our low pile patterned rug, it doesn't adjust automatically and won't move on auto setting. Those are the only problems, other than that I am very happy with this vacuum.

The Dyson vacuum cleaner did work good as far as the suction goes and seeing all the particles on the floor, but within 3-5 minutes it stopped working. Than I could not take apart the long tube to make it smaller. I took it balk immediately for a refund. I would like to buy a different one but not at this time, due to my experience with it

I have never been so satisfied with a cordless vacuum as with this one, really works great, I highly recommend it.

This is my 3rd upgrade and it sure seems to be the most powerful. Good strong suction and very maneuverable as is typical with Dyson. Compactor is a great addition. Not having to hold a trigger to activate is a plus. The only thing lacking is compatibility with older red-button model accessories. Including an adaptor to allow this connection would have yielded a 5-star review.

Definitely does not have the suction of my previous Dyson, battery life is dismal and accessing the container to empty is no easy feat. Truly disappointed in this product.

I’ve had the Dyson V16 Animal for a few weeks now, and I’m extremely satisfied with it. The machine lives up to the hype. Everything is a plus on it. The suction is very strong, and the runtime and maneuverability are superior. The debris capacity is unparalleled for a cordless because the vacuum has a manually operated compression ring inside of the chamber that presses the debris into a smaller volume so you can continue vacuuming. The conical rollers on the cleaning head don’t get clogged with hair like normal sweeper heads do. I have a German Shepherd, and anyone who has one knows they are a fur factory. Hair everywhere. This machine picks it all up. The cost is no joke, but you get exactly what you pay for. An exceptional machine.

I have had 4 different cordless Dysons over the last few years, and they've all been pretty good. Usually, the next level model is better than the last, but this one is not. It's horrible! The suction is weak and it seems very lightweight. It seems like they've used more plastic on this one because it's so light, and it seems not very sturdy. Unless I have received a defective machine, the dustbin is horrible. It will not stay shut. It opens when you are vacuuming, no matter how tight you close it, and it tells you there's a blockage. I can't vacuum with it, and I've had so many that I know how to work them. This one definitely has something wrong with it. Being a brand new model with the bin having the dust compressing function, it may have some issues, or I received a defective one but I'm returning it and not ordering another, I'll stick with my V15 Detect.

This machine has not stopped amazing me since I got it out of the box, I have an older corded Dyson Animal and its great and still worked great! But this V16 puts it into retirement Great suction, love the "Fluffy optics" light my dog is white with short fur and that green light really shows where it's hiding. Was worried about battery life, but no issues. The capacity is great I suck out bird seed from the birds cage and it will contain it all. Can't say enough how great this thing works!

We have upgraded from the V10 to the V11 and now, the V16. We've witnessed the improvements made in each model upgrade where I hate the V16! I hate it as it shows everything the prior models missed while vacuuming! The green fluorescent front light is a game changer where it shows everything that is on the floor that you can not see with your naked eyes! Love the cannister compactor with it's easy to dump function and the "auto" setting is the answer for the transition from flat floors to carpet. The V16 is by far the best Dyson stick vacuum we have ever owned and you too will love to hate it.
