Grown Alchemist Hydra-Restore Lip Balm (12mL)

I have very oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin and was looking for a new product without fragrance, alcohol or anything that may flare up my skin (clean brand) with the consistency of the Skin Defence Primer. Previously, I used a brand with the same texture and consistency (Tula Brighten Up Primer), but it was discontinued. I am so happy I have found this product, as it is very, very similar. I love the cooling, mattifying, smooth feeling of this primer. It feels amazing under my makeup and is the perfect base. Because my skin is so oily, I think it could be slightly more mattifying to last longer; however, it's nothing a little setting powder can't fix. Great product! Please never get rid of it.

It feels smooth and • comforting on my lips, with a fresh, minty touch that isn't too strong or tingly. My lips looked less dry after using it. I love the soft, healthy shine it gives, and the stylish tube looks so nice in my bag.

lovely product, feel and smell but needs applicator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This primer is great overall – it has a refreshing, cooling sensation on application that I love. It still leaves pores slightly visible, but coverage is acceptable and it layers nicely under makeup. Lightweight texture, doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. Would repurchase.

This product has given me a smooth coverage that allows my makeup to last all day with minimal refresh from oily skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This primer was quite the experience, but I liked the results. I will say, the texture of this primer is a lot different than what I’m used to. It takes a minute for it to break down and absorb into your skin, so I’ve warmed it up with my fingers to speed up the application. It kind of moves around your skin at first. It can feel heavy on your skin, so I was suggest using just a small amount at first until you see how your skin reacts to it. It does have a strong fragrance, which I’m not fond of, but others make like it. But, once I figured this primer out, my makeup sat beautifully under it, and it lasted through most of the day. This primer definitely takes some getting used to.

This lip balm is so moisturizing and gives my lips a beautiful shine. The smell is amazing and feelings so healing.

J'adore l'odeur et le côté rafraîchissant que ce primer crée sur ma peau. Par contre je ne vois aucun effet de "lissage" ou de glow, et il n'aide malheureusement en rien la tenue de mon maquillage - et je me maquille très peu. J'ai donc l'impression que ça ne sert à rien de le mettre sur ma peau. Dommage.

Love the balm, hate the packaging. But!! The balm is more important than worrying about the packaging. Grown Alchemist please change the packaging then this would be the absolute best balm in the world

I bought this lip balm on Tik Tok shop, and overall, I really like it. The texture is really nice---thick and smooth. It has a nice, watermelon scent to it. However, my main complaint is that the packaging is terrible. I have gone through so much of this product, even though I didn't mean to, because every time I open the tube, a big glob of lip balm dispenses. A lot of it gets wasted, which is really frustrating. I intended to keep this as my regular lip balm for a while, but it is going quickly. I find myself not even wanting to open to tube because I don't want to deal with the mess. I would want to see the package changed if I were to repurchase.
