Just a beautiful, elegant, modern, but classic light, it is brush gold but it is subtle not the shiny bright gold that will make the place look tacky. Most of my kitchen hardware is brushed nickel and this fits right in!!
To be fair, the light is a good quality but ridiculous in how bright it is. I could perform surgery under this and there's no way to decrease the brightness unless I get an electrician back to install a dimming switch. A simple "heads up" notice on the packaging from the manufacturer would be helpful, stating that a dimming switch is advised unless the user wants an amazingly high brightness. And I can't imagine any room that needs this level of brightness.
