You adjust the wire tension with a thumbwheel. It comes with two replacement wires. The handle is the iconic OXO “Good Grips” one that you likely already know and love.

OXO sent me a new one with spare wires, so I was able to repair the old one. Now I have two! OXO is a great consumer friendly company.
