Wildfire Leather

The good; well constructed, good arch support, love the ability to cinch the shoe tightly around the ankle keeping dirt out and the heel tightly locked into the shoe. Great traction. The bad; wow, order at least one size larger! The fact that you must order @ least one size larger affects the proportions of the rest of the shoe, shifting the arch support and toe box width significantly. The laces are a real pain in the butt requiring you to cinch each cross of the laces with significant force to tie the shoe which results in a lot of restriction around the ankle, in some cases restricting blood flow to the foot. I need to retie the shoes multiple time to get the right combination of circulation and snugness. Given the need to order one size larger, the toe box is a bit wider then if the shoe was sized properly. Have overcome this issue with socks that are padded in both the toe box and heel. In conclusion, though I have overcome most of the issues through a combination of lacing dynamics and the right pair of socks, I would not recommend purchasing these shoes until they fix their sizing issues.

Felt great out of the box!

I LOVED the look of this shoe but I couldn't keep it - The space around the toes was wayyyyy too narrow - super uncomfortable fit - All the SALEWA (Wild Fire, Alp Trainer, Mountain Trainer) shoes I purchased (4 of them) I had to return because of this issue. Great Design - but really bad fit.
