Very comfortable, warm and great for camping or hiking especially in the chilly weather. They wash well and keep their shape and size after washing and drying.

Really LOVE Smartwool medium thickness and especially the thicker version. I wear them Monday through Friday with my steel toe work shoes and I wear my Smartwool socks with my hiking boots when I go Jeeping. I probably have about 20 pairs. I have three pairs that are high on my calves that I wear when I bundle up for the snow. So comfortable!

Whether climbing the Adirondack High Peaks in winter, or McKinley in the summer, Smartwool's mountaineering socks are indispensable and indestructible. I have worn Smartwool socks for probably three decades and wouldn't trade them for any other sock product on the market.

I have a fused foot so no compression from the knee down. These socks give that added cushion as if I was wearing a high end sneaker! Thank you.

Everyday use

These are some of the most splendid socks I've had the pleasure of sliding on my perpetually frozen feet. I have Raynauds and live in Alaska where our winter regularly get to -40, these socks with my sheepskin slippers and boots keep my toes so warm and toasty no matter how cold it is outside!

I really like how warm and comfortable these socks are because I have neuropathy in my feet, and these socks help a lot.

CONS: I purchased 3 pairs 1 pair came defective and/or mismatched: one sock much shorter than the other.

I love these thick wool socks, I wear them around the house as slippers and also they fit just fine inside my shoes even though I bought the thickest pair. . Very warm and cozy, also attractive, seem to be sturdy and likely to last a long time..
