I can wear these socks with my hiking boots or dress shoes, they are equally comfortable with both. I love that they stay up without squeezing too hard. And I have found SmartWool socks always wear and look great for a long time (years)!

I live in the coastal South. You freeze in the morning and fry in the afternoon. It is often oppressively humid. Merino wool is incredible for adjusting to temperature changes and are not conducive to sweaty feet. Also wash and wear better than other national brands

I wear these with my chukka boots. They are durable, very comfortable and also add a little warmth. The simple color is just old school good. So many wool socks have designs that are trying soooo hard to be cute. Mostly, I appreciate the quality. So I will buy them again.
