The fleece is very soft. However, it is too short. It is significantly shorter than the hoodie version (and the half zip Kyanite), which I don't understand. I generally prefer jacket versions of mid layers rather than hoodies, but this is so short it's unwearable. Very disappointing. And the hoodie has the opposite problem - it's too long (and I'm 5'9").
I was very excited to invest in this jacket. I fell in love with the moon drop colour. However, after a few initial wears around town (nothing extreme whatsoever) it began to pill excessively with no washing or friction exposure. I was disappointed and finally reached out as it continues to get worse (I've worn it a handful of times over past 4 months because I was scared it would get worse). Arc'teryx response was essentially 'it's normal for it to pill" and offered no resolution. I am incredibly disappointed & this is likely my last Arc'teryx purchase. It is a shame as I love the other items I own.. Arc'teryx price point is simply too high to take a chance on quality and durability. I expect accountability for flawed designs at this price point. I love the jacket and the colour but the quality is sub-standard. After wearing for just one week, there is substantial pilling around the pockets on both sides. I own two kyanite hoodies and they are still pristine after over a year
My Kyanite jacket was only two months old when it started to pill. I was very surprised by this as I hadn't worn it a lot. I contacted customer service about their warranty on this product. I was told that it was typical wear and tear and to use a pill shaver on it. That was it. I was very surprised as this company is know for their quality of products and warranty. A very disappointed customer.
This is nice cozy soft fleece, but as many other reviewers mention, it's too short. I am only 5 feet and it's the minimum length I personally like. The fabric is also a bit thinner and feels cheaper than some of the older kynanites I own. Bring back the original length and quality, and make it available in more colours, and I will buy more. But if it stays as is, this will be my last kyanite purchase.

I had the kyanite hoodies from the past and I love them. now I got this Kyanite jacket from recent years. I love the fabric that i feel it got lighter and warmer. love it! But I'm so disappointed that the sleeves and length got shorter! The cut has definitely changed. i normally wear XS or S. I got the XS for this one. The sleeves are barely reaching my wrists, and the body length looks like in between a cropped length to a full length. If I don't wear high waist pants, there will be a gap on my waist when I sit. When I wear it, my mom said it looks like a children't clothing on me.
