Clean Lash Lengthening Tubing Mascara

BROWN! FINALLY!! I loved Merit Clean Lash Mascara from the moment we met - and I wore black because that was all that was available & it was the best mascara I’d used in a long time. I love a clean, fresh look and this was - and is again! - the perfect everyday mascara for me. No flaking, no clumping, no smudging & removes easily with lots of gentle, warm water splashing. I wish it was available in the mini size to throw in my travel bag. Brown is perfect for those of us who are lighter and want a more natural look. I have blonde hair, light green eyes and wear Palomino in stick & coordinating The Uniform.

Great mascara! I've been using this mascara for 5 years now! It's the only mascara I own. I love the formula. It goes on my lashes so effortlessly and comes off at night so easily as well. I work 16 hour shifts and this mascara does not give me raccoon eyes and doesn't smudge at all for me. I do see at times little bits of the mascara come off if I accidentally rub my eyes too much but other than that, this mascara is a must have. I love it!

I had such high expectations and hopes for this. I did not find this to be a true tubing mascara. It did not come off the way a tubing mascara should. Additionally, it did flake off. On the plus side, it was non-clumping and stayed put all day.

I have tried so many mascaras, high end, drug store, water proof, non water proof, and this mascara is end game for me. I live in a humid climate with hot summers and I hate water proof mascara. This mascara has a natural lash look, but still adds some extra umph. My lashes stay put throughout the day and there’s no smudging. It does flake a bit, typically if the lashes are touched, but it doesn’t flake off significantly throughout the day. Maybe a flake here or there, but nothing more than that, even at the end of the life of the tube. I have been consistently repurchasing this mascara for several years now and I love it. It’s easy to remove from eyelids if it gets on the skin during application and it’s easy to remove at the end of the day. While it’s not water proof, it has held up through many tears and seasonal allergies as well and still looks good after crying, as long as you blot your eyes and don’t rub it off. I genuinely cannot recommend this mascara enough, I’m obsessed.

Let's do a compliment sandwich here: Positive: No strong fragrance, goes on smoothly. Negatives: I tried this twice - the tl;dr is that this mascara is underwhelming. It takes several coats to see a difference in length or volume. I also experienced a bit of smudging/running. Lastly, removal is a bit of a pain. Despite makeup wipes and washing my face, I still was wiping little bits off with my towel the next morning. Positive: I didn't experience any burning or stinging while wearing this. Overall, this isn't a bad mascara, however it didn't deliver everything that I was looking for either (darkening/bolding and lengthening without eye sting).

I am disappointed because it takes several coats to make a difference from my natural lashes and then it flakes. I purchased this tubing mascara to avoid under eye darkness. I live in a desert climate, and work in a/c.

Definitely not the best mascara I’ve tried. It clumps and is very difficult to wash off.

Your lashes are gonna fall. I have pretty average lashes and while the whole conditioning lash thing might be cool but this mascara cannot hold a curl for its life. It’s just not that flattering

I’ve been ordering this product for two years now and absolutely love it. It is easy to apply and lasts without smudging. I used to switch between mascara brands all the time but I found my favorite in this!

I really wanted to love this mascara because the performance is excellent. It doesn’t flake, smudge, or leave me with raccoon eyes, and it gives my lashes beautiful length with a natural look. My biggest disappointment is that the formula seems to dry out far too quickly. Even though there’s still plenty of product left in the tube, it becomes difficult to use much sooner than expected, which means replacing it more often than I’d like. I understand that it’s a clean formula and preservatives are more limited, but I hope MERIT can improve the longevity without compromising the ingredients. If the formula stayed fresh longer, this would easily be a 5-star mascara for me. As it stands, it’s a great product that just doesn’t last as long as it should.
