Brightening Purple Shampoo for Blonde Hair

This works really great on reducing brassiness in my bleached hair but it is super drying. I just use a hair mask after this to ensure my hair doesn’t feel like straw. Hence only 4 stars

I love this shampoo, I have very light blonde hair and it gets rid of all brassy without turning my hair green/purple! Makes my hair bright white and if I overdo it it goes grey! Very hard to find a product this good!

Smell is ok but I find that it leaves a terrible greasy residue on my hair . It’s an awful formula and for that reason I will never use it again. I wash and blow dry and it looks like my hair hasn’t been washed in days! Super embarrassing.

This shampoo dried out my hair. I didn’t notice at first until a month down the line - my once shiny, healthy hair is dry and parched. It smells super nice but the formula is really thick (almost like a hair masque) and that makes it more annoying to apply to the hair when you’re just having a quick everyday shower. ALSO: I looked at the bottle and noticed the country where it is made - they are not BDS friendly. Sorry, not a repurchase.

This is the only purple shampoo I will use! So effective and fairly priced.

I received this product as a free sample with my Sephora purchases. For context: I have dark brown hair with gray streaks. This is the first purple hair product I have tried and I am pleasantly surprised. The scent is lovely and the product was a nice thick, smooth consistency with a deep purple colour. It has an amazing thick lather and did not stain my hair, scalp, hands or tiles. Rinsed out easily and left my hair feeling clean and soft. I used this product along with the purple hair mask. My gray streaks were noticably more silver after only one application and my hair has never felt so soft. This and the hair mask are full size worthy in my opinion.

I've tried a lot of purple shampoos, and this one works, but it caused a lot of breakage and hair loss to my previously healthy, but color-treated hair. I only used it once a week, but I was getting significant clumps in the drain catcher. No other changes to my routine, products, or diet, so I can only conclude it was the culprit. I hope they can improve the formula without losing the effectiveness, but I'm not confident.

Happy with this product. I went blonde for the summer and my hairstylist recommended a purple shampoo to keep brassiness at bay. This shampoo smells pretty nice, lathers well, and is fairly lroced for what you get.

Product cap was loose and it leaked all over during shipping. Luckily the plastic caught most of it but some did leak out. This should be something checked prior to shipping

This shampoo was great for the colour aspect but awful in every other way. It did tone my hair and reduce brassiness. This shampoo did NOT clean my hair whatsoever. Made my hair feel like there was a coating on it and my hair would be so limp and weighed down. In addition to that, it irritated my scalp so badly and made it itchy and flaky and I would end up scratching so much it would bleed. It also made my scalp break out. Would never repurchase or recommend.
