Defrizzion Travel Hair Dryer & Diffuser

I had to return it after the metal grate on the back caught a piece of my hair and pulled it into the dryer, causing noticeable breakage. I have curly hair, and this is honestly unacceptable for a hair dryer. I would strongly recommend that anyone with curly, textured, or easily tangled hair be cautious with this dryer. I hope Curlsmith redesigns the intake because otherwise I would have kept using it.

I’ve had this a few years. It works well and is reliable for wavy hair however it isn’t extremely light or compact for travel. The only complaint is that with longer hair, you must be careful that your hair doesn’t get sucked into the intake at the back.

Amazing. A must for curly hair. No frizz and only used a little bit of product. I’m amazed. Where have you been all my life! lol. This is not incentivized. I purchased the dryer this morning.

I’ve had this for about 2 months, and I have a pixie cut. I love how wide the diffuser is. It covers a lot of surface area and softens the air flow. It only takes me 10 minutes to style my hair. PS This is not travel sized. I wouldn’t say it’s travel friendly, either. It folds, and it comes with removable attachments and a drawstring bag.

I have had this product for approximately a year and a half (August of 2023). I used it strictly for travel, so maybe 20 times or so, 10 to 15 minutes each time maybe (as of February 14th of 2025). In any case, after about a minute of very weak output - it smells of something burning and then immediately dies! I dutifully contact Sephora who informs me that my 1 year warranty is run out so I must contact Curlsmith. Receive a reply telling me to clean the filter (did not use it often enough to get dirty; there is no clog anywhere on the dryer), and; allow the dryer to cool (I store it uncovered overnight and bag it in the AM.). Otherwise, no other response as to why the Dryer died. I'd say save your money, as they do not stand by their product evidently. It is a shame, because when it was working it was awesome and the big diffuser attachment is fabulous! This was fast becoming my favorite hairdryer. :(

I started off buying the original curl smith blow dryer, and later on, I decided I needed the travel size version. I have a lot of hair, so I just use the XXL diffuser piece from the original and attach it to the travel size blow driver, and it works wonders. much lighter and saves a ton of space in my bag!

This blow dryer has given me more definition (less frizz) than any other blow dryer I’ve ever tried.

Not a fan of this hair dryer. I have curly hair down to my waist, and when I use this hair dryer to “attempt” to dry my hair, my hair gets sucked up into the back of the hair dryer. It’s caused breakage because of this suction. Itisn’t user mmakes

Very disappointed with this product. The blow dryer works fine. The problem is the diffuser attachment is larger than the blow dryer nozzle so it keeps falling off when I am drying my hair. I have curly hair so a diffuser is a must for me. Unfortunately I was unable to
