This was complimentary from clarins and I have been using this for weeks. If I use this with a retinol at night it is not hydrating enough for me, my skin is normal dehydrated so I need more when it comes to hydration. This is an easy night cream to add every night in your routine.

I’ve been using the Clarins Energy Cream for a bit now, and it’s honestly become one of those products I look forward to using every day. At my age, my skin is definitely on the drier side, and I also deal with hot flashes, so I’m really picky about moisturizers. I need hydration, but I cannot deal with anything that feels heavy or suffocating—and this one somehow gets it just right. It’s hydrating without that thick, smothering feeling some creams have. Well I was about to tell you all of the reasons why I thought this cream didn’t work. Then I looked at my before and after pictures lol. Brighter, plumper, firmer. I did have a light on in the after photo but I can still tell. My skin is more even. The formula is on the thicker side. It’s not icky feeling but I do have oily skin so it feels a little heavy if I use too much. Because the results are giving I will definitely take that feeling. gifted by clarins

I am loving the Clarins Extra-Firming night moisturizer so far. I’ve been using it for about a week along with the daily extra-firming energy moisturizer during the day. Okay so night creams have always been hit or miss for me. Either too heavy, or I wake up and my skin looks exactly the same as when I went to sleep. This one is different and I noticed it fast. The texture is rich but it absorbs well. Not the kind where you're sliding around on your pillow. It feels like it's actually working while you sleep, and by morning my skin is noticeably plumper and softer. Like genuinely bouncy. I really wanted to like this cream, and im a clarins fan normally! It made my skin itchy and didn't feel hydrating. I love clarins lip oil and their red day cream but this just wasn't it for me
