Such a great cream for calming my skin and restoring the balance in my skin barrier. After just one night, I can see the difference. If I ever overdo it with other active creams or any treatments, this cream brings everything back to normal.
I was a bit apprehensive about this product because of all the reviews about pilling but I loved the ingredient list and decided to try it out anyways. I am pleasantly surprised there was NO PILLING... like what? Yes the cream is more thick but I think that's to be expected for barrier creams like Aestura. I'm combo skin and I'm pleasantly surprised that my skin can tolerate this level of cream without breaking out. I like that there's less of that filmy feeling on the skin I might find from squalene moisturizers and yet it still feels like there's something substantial hydrating and soothing my irritated skin barrier unlike lightweight gels. It's a bit hard to describe... I wouldn't recommend this for someone oily though because I've noticed my T-zone gets oily pretty quick soon after. If you're combo like me I do like using it on my dryer cheeks and temple. For me, I'm excited to use this after tretinoin, BP, and exfoliating acids 8/10 would recommend for Combo to dry skin types!
I really like this one. I don’t have severe redness but I’ve noticed it getting more prominent with age, and this one definitely helps. I don’t have super sensitive skin, and it’s caused no issues for me. I also haven’t had problems with pulling.
It burns my face when my skin is sensitive. Kinda defeated its purpose🥲
Sounds crazy but I use this for my neck and chest as it is really sensitive and gets irritated with prescription strength Tretinoin. I switched to OTC Retinal with this cream at NOC from a sample that was sent to me and chefs kiss!
I will start by saying I love major fade, and have returned back to that. I think that there are people for whom this is a good fit, I think VERY dry and VERY red skin would benefit, and using it as a night cream not a day cream. I have combination skin that gets red sometimes that I wanted to calm down. I found this too heavy for daily use (good to use once per week after retinol when I normally use my cicoplast, but this is too expensive to just use for just that) and it made me break out. I did not notice any improvement in redness, and overall irritated my skin a bit with daily use + the serum.
Using this moisturizer when not using the Major Fade moisturizer along with the serum. Very hydrating especially with the rough winter we had in the NorthEast this past winter.
I’ve never had a moisturizer cause so much pilling in my life. I bought this as something to try instead of my usual Tatcha, and regret it. It honestly pills no matter what you do. Returning.
Bad reaction, gave me Little red bumps all over my face, so dissapointed
This is an okay moisturizer if all you need is a light moisturizer, would probably be good for the summer. However, it did not help with any redness nor did it feel cooling/soothing upon application. It also pills pretty badly even without applying makeup or sunscreen on top of it. Will not be purchasing it again.
