Its not too common to find Extended Release Theanine. Life Extension has a good product here, albeit a tad expensive (perhaps for the time release mechanism). Not sure how much is immediate release and how much is extended. 4.5 stars.
As a stay at home mother of 3 little kids my stress levels were really high so i needed something to take the edge off. I bought this, gaba chews and a cortisol product and I believe the combo has made a huge difference. I'm much less reactive and feel more relaxed in general.
I suffer from incurable insomnia and let me tell you - this is the only thing that has helped me sleep a deep restorative sleep. Best part is there is no grogginess the next morning.
I love other life extension products but this one is not it. The xr form makes me drowsy and groggy no matter what time of the day I take jt. It is supposed to last for 6 hours but it makes me super tired.

First time I took this I could feel it working within minutes. This product is “time released” which is important because L-Theanine is absorbed quickly into the body. I have not seen another brand offer “time released”. AND this company, Life extension does their own research and has been around for over 50 years!!!
