as SAM0e at 400mg some time cud have over methylation. i used it not for moods but to clear the histamine in my system. i prefer luteolin better

This looks to be a great product for the price, though it triggered acid reflux in me, as did SAMe from all other brands I've tried. That being said after a week, I felt like I noticed slight improvements in mood and energy. I really wanted this to work, but sadly, my stomach said a definite no to this substance for now. This seems to be just my issue; generally, most people tolerate it well. Each tablet is individually sealed, which is crucial since SAMe degrades quickly when exposed to air. Capsules I had from another brand turned yellowish within weeks. I'm still considering giving SAMe another try when my stomach is in better shape, and I'll likely choose this brand again.

My therapist recommended SAMe for help with mood and depression due to low energy levels, and in the two months I've been taking it, I've definitely seen my energy levels benefit. Swanson is widely regarded for providing high quality supplements, and this one is no exception. I like that they are individually foil packaged, since SAMe is moisture-sensitive. I seem to absorb these better than a different brand I took before. The pills are a good size, not too big. I haven't noticed any weird taste, though I take them before I'm fully awake so YMMV. I have noticed that if I eat less than an hour after taking them, they tend to upset my guts, but every body is different and I'm not blaming the product because I know I have a hair-trigger digestive tract.
