IMHO, this is the best liquid fish oil brand and product on the market. I first discovered it at Sprouts in Albuquerque, NM; and then, sadly, was unsuccessful finding it locally in Greater Detroit. Luckily, iherb came through! Product is potent in effect, but quite mild in taste, with no “burp-ups”. Amazing quality! Rating: A+
Nutra Sea Omega-3 has a pleasant taste (it doesn't remind me of the harbor!), delivery has always been very prompt, and it came recommended by nutritionist and blogger Yuri Elkaim in his research article on omega-3 supplements so I feel assured that the product is free of contamination and delivers the maximum bioavailability of omega-3 EFAs.
We have been amazed by the mild taste of the Ascenta products we have tried. I have tried several different liquid fish oil supplements and several gel caps. All of them have left me with an aftertaste and something I can only describe as "fish burps" that follow me all day. Ascenta has no fishy taste and no "return" during the day. All of my children take it willingly.
My spouse and our two small children love this. The EPA to DHA ratio is great, and there are no heavy metals. The oil is very light in texture, it is virtually tasteless, it smells like lemon, and it is very easy to digest. It is easy for all of us to take one or even two teaspoons daily. The 500mL format is better value for money, and because one bottle lasts in the fridge for 100 days once opened it is our preferred choice.
It tastes lemon and that's it. As I'm working out and bulking, it's even better than tasting olive oil because it's not thick. So now I'm at the second day taking it; DHA and EPA seem to improve my mood and concentration. I'm grateful for choosing this product.
Appreciate that this ultra-pure, great tasting omega-3 is good for your general health, and supports cardiovascular health and brain function. It is also beneficial in the development of the brain, eyes and nerves in children and adolescents. Great all around health product!
This fish oil was recommended to me by a Complementary Therapist in England due to its high purity levels. It is no longer on sale in the UK and I am very pleased find that I can order it from this site. Delivery times were also similar to my original supplier. Thoroughly recommended.
