I needed cut and sifted turmeric, not powdered, for Stephen Harrod Buhner's arthritis tea recipe. This is very fresh and worked perfectly in the tea. I can always grind some up to make powder for other recipes too if needed.
I was hoping for larger cuts of turmeric root, not these tiny grains... The picture is kinda misleading; they should show the size on a palm or something to hint at the size. But its ingredients are all organic turmeric from India, so I believe it's of good quality. Also, the zipper seal packaging is quite a practical feature.
I use this for tea blends to help fight inflammation.. it is so pretty in color and tatse is good. I like quality of the tea and oreder if regularly
smells and tastes very fresh good quality. i use it and pour some into my morning tea and also my smoothie. not too overpowering but really beneficial for good gut health. packaging keeps it fresh as well.
I like this brand’s price. I have a chai recipe I love and it tastes great using Starwest Botanicals organic herbs. I highly recommend this brand for all your tea needs. I prefer using cut and sifted in my recipes, it makes for delicious cups of tea.
Organic Turmeric Root is much more aromatic and tastes better than the already ground powder. I really liked it, I will buy more. I recommend it.

I haven't bought ground turmeric spice for years, but whole dried roots and grind them myself in a special grinder that I bought, this turmeric is really good!
this huge package is great if you use tumeric in teas or sauces. Starwest does really great quality single ingredients that are so useful in the pantry. The price of this is more than justified!
Glad I found this. Seems more fresh since I can grind up myself. I put it in a pepper grinder with pepper and Use it several ways. Price was good also for organic
