SpectraZyme® Gluten Digest Enzymes, 90 Capsules (138 mg per Capsule)

I have gluten and dairy intolerance. When I am eating at a restaurant, a friend or families house I don't know for sure what is in some of the dishes so I take these just in case. Sometimes I have a day now and then where I do eat something with gluten or dairy and I have no issues if I take these. They work great.

It's not a miracle pill to tolerate gluten if you have issues digesting it, but it can smooth out the rough edges. Works best if you can already tolerate at least some gluten. It will nox fix genetic intolerance or intolerance due to functional dyspepsia, but it will provide a mild, but noticeable support.

I bought this to help with gluten allergies. Compared to dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP-IV), which is sold by many manufacturers, this product's prolyl endopeptidase seems to be more effective because it breaks down gluten amino acids into shorter, more fragmented pieces. In fact, I feel that it has less of an effect on me after eating wheat than the DPP-IV version. Swanson used to sell a product using prolyl endopeptidase, but it's no longer sold in Japan, so I switched to this one. Considering that Swanson's product has 580,000 PPI per capsule, while this one has four times that amount (232,000 PPI) in two capsules, I think that even half a capsule is enough to be effective, so I break the capsule and take half a capsule at a time. I've actually felt the effects that way. It's quite expensive per capsule compared to other supplements, but considering long-term use, I think it's not a bad choice.

Gluten seems to affect rash and scabs on my scalp. This pill eaten with gluten type foods has made it mostly gone. It takes a few days before I see results. This one is the most expensive one on the market so will be trying others over this next year to compare

In practice, nothing about this feels overcomplicated, which I appreciate. The presentation is simple, the instructions are clear, and using it doesn't feel like a chore. For me, convenience is part of quality, and this has been convenient. It turned out to be a good match for what I wanted.

Eating wheat and barley bread and other starchy foods frequently can be very irritating to the digestive system. This product contains enzymes that break down skin texture, which are beneficial for gastrointestinal digestion and can improve gut health. Although it's expensive, I hope it works!
