I had been searching for a long time (and unsuccessfully!) for a product containing DHA and EPA with a higher percentage of EPA than DHA. In fact, taking omega-3 with a higher ratio of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) than DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is mainly recommended for its benefits on the cardiovascular system, in regulating inflammation and improving the lipid profile. EPA plays an important role in regulating physiological processes such as inflammation, mood and stress response, while DHA has a more structural role in the cell membranes of the brain and retina. The fact that it is derived from algae rather than fish is a valuable added bonus, especially for those who, like myself, are vegetarians!

Love this vegan option for such an important supplement. And, unlike the fish version, no nasty aftertaste. Highly recommend--from a company I've always trusted for high quality and pure ingredients.

I appreciate being able to find a vegan way to get omega-3‘s. These capsules are easy to take and are good quality ingredients. It’s too early to notice any positive effects but I’m hoping in a few months I’ll have a better brain!
