I took this just as a general supplement, (I was pre diabetic, numbers as high as 180 one hour after meals, 140 after two hours if I don’t watch what I eat or take other glucose lowering herbs). On the first day I took the recommended dosage, I had forgotten to take my herbs for blood glucose. So, I was shocked to see normal numbers. Checked again after the second meal of the day, still normal. Well it’s been over a week, & I’ve been eating without counting carbs, but normal portions. Good product. There are 5 seaweeds used to make Fucoidan supplements. Bladderwrack is the most undersung, but it is very good and the least expensive. My business partner took Swanson Fucoidan for 60 days, and is now combining 1 Swanson Fucoidan with 1 Swanson Bladderwrack, and noticed a nice difference after adding the Bladderwrack . Bladderwrack is a good source of Alginates, which remove heavy metals and toxins. You give those up by extracting Fucoidan from a seaweed. If you are looking for the least expensive way to try a Fucoidan product, I think this is the way to do it. I give this to my friends, and they all love it. They have also tried the Swanson private label, and say that the Nature's Way Bladderwrack is a little more potent.
