Since I'm allergic to citric acid it is essential for me to find a source of Vitamin C without it being combined with citric acid. This stuff tastes awful and ruins the taste of tea or coffee. However, when I mix it with a chocolate product(Nutella), that hides the flavor and I can take an adequate daily dose. I'm very glad it's available.
I've been taking this non-acidic form of vitamin C for years and really appreciate how gentle it is on my digestion. I also like being able to adjust the dosage as needed, given it is a powder. A tip: squeeze a little bit of lemon or lime juice into the water or juice/water combo because this adds bioflavinoids which help in good absorption.
Solaray is one of my favorite brands for chewable vitamins. It is high quality. I like this buffered vitamin C. It is a little sour but mix it with ice tea. It makes it easier to drink.
