This Soup Blend is everything; not only is it a time saving convenience of pre-chopped veggies, the size of the package makes for at most two uses in 5quart pot increments of vegetable or any other variation of soup. The vegetables taste like they are quality fresh from the garden. The packaged ingredients are a great variety of dried vegetables. I made fresh chicken stock, added herbs, spices, one 14.5 oz can of chopped roasted tomatoes undrained and the parboiled vegetables (follow package instructions) ... and wah-lah a delicious pot of soup!

This veggie soup blend is so awesome, first of all it’s ORGANIC so yay! I bought it to make my own vegetable stock (I added my herbs and spices which I like) and stored it in an airtight container in the fridge up to 6 days, and also in the freezer it will last forever. This is just so handy and it’s affordable too. Also it is really important to have dried foods on hand in case of emergency, like a power blackout, storm, etc - it’s such a quick and nutritious meal for times like that - you Can just boil some water with a mini camping gas stove and make yourself some soup ! 5 stars all around.

I bought this along with the dehydrated vegetable soup blend, and use it together, but it is also wonderful on its own. It's a great way to sneak in beans in your diet to stretch meat further, or as a meat replacement. It is also a thickener for stews. I am also glad I have something in my pantry for emergency use. It looks good. Honestly I bought it to have in case of emergency or if I'm stuck in the remote area I live durig winter time. Very good as food reserve.
