I have a bad case of raging unmedicated ADHD and this supplement (along side others) really helped me putting myself through school. It helps with focus and mood, and it has great benefits even if you are not on the spectrum. Works wonders in combination with caffeine or cordyceps mushroom, I take it in the morning and it sets me up on the right path for the rest of the day. Also, great size capsules, easy to swallow, no funny taste.

Mucuna, or Velvet Bean, naturally contains l-dopa , which is a precursor to dopamine, and this product is the real deal. I take one in the morning, and one in the late afternoon, and within an hour (of each dose) I can feel a lift. I would start slow with it--maybe one a day at first, and then up to two. Any more than that and I can get a bit spaced out. Anyway, I can recommend this brand.

I am a 67 yes old man, so far tried many products to enhance my energy level, and this is the best so far, ie. after a hard day work, just take one and the energy level is back and lasted for about 3-4 hours... it works... strongly recommended

Being a phenylketonuria carrier means your enzyme to convert phenylalanine to tyrosine works sub-optimally. Then, you need activated vitamin B6 as a co-factor to create dopamine. Mucuna pruriens extract provides L dopa the precursor of dopamine. Taking this supplement makes me feel completely normal instead of having attention deficit and an over-stimulated brain. I have no idea if it is converted to dopamine within the gut or makes it to the brain ...... but it works brilliantly for me. I slept so soundly last night and just feel calm. As ever do your own research ....... but if you're a carrier too, worth a try.

Sadly, Paradise herbs has removed the percentage of l-dopa the product contains. It used to say it in the label, 10 percent. Now it just has the generic “10:1” extract language, which means you have zero idea how much l-dopa you’re taking. Himalay herbs did the same thing not long ago. Unfortunately, iHerb hasn’t update the label image. Don’t be fooled.
