Ok. The bad. They are large and do not have smooth edges. It takes some mental gymnastics for me to get them swallowed. Full disclosure: I don't like taking pills. Update: taking these with juice or food is much easier than with water. When drinking water the throat constricts naturally – I don’t know why. However, when consuming food or drinking juice or other drinks that are not water, the throat opens wide up and these things go down much easier. Read into it what you will. The good. at age 65 I need all the calcium I can get, and these miniature submarines are the most potent and natural I've found. I'll gladly deal with my little dislike of pills to take these things every day.

As an osteoporosis candidate the Rainbow Light calcium is great. It has added magnesium and vegan D3 so everything you need is in a one a day dose. Lovely especially since calcium has a tendency to be a larger pill to swallow. I take this at night, it's my cup of warm milk. Rumor has it, calcium cuts down on restless leg syndrome too. My doctor is very pleased with my calcium, mag and D3 levels, quality is self evident. It's also vegan so anyone can take it. Convenient size and I trust Rainbow Light

The quality of the ingredients are great, don't get me wrong. The form of calcium is high in bioavailability, so it absorbs better than other supplements in the market. But to be honest, I didn't see many benefits from it in comparison to cheaper alternatives. Like it didn't really improve anything more than others. So technically, it's not a bad product, just the price ain't justifiable for me.

Easy to take and is vegan. It is tough to judge supplements but after a workout I take this and feel great. I am plant-based so appreciate the extras...

My mom also prefers a one tablet dosage as some calcium supplements require two up to four tablets per dose so this is great for her.
