Love Oolong tea for the taste, health benefits and the way it just makes me feel so well and bursting with energy, I love the Tao of Tea brand, packaging and quality with the cute little tea caddies which I always keep and I particularly love this malty strong rich Oolong tea dn have it every morning along with Puer and other teas. It's a ritual. There is an Clearspring Oolang tea bag which maybe has a tiny bit of an edge on taste, but I love the loose leaf element and use one of the silver tea infusers on a chain so I can make mugs as opposed to a pot. I use it three times and on the third it is a bit weak but I toss in a rooibos vanilla bag and maybe my twice used Puer tea infuser to make a mash up! Sorry tea purists but it tastes great especially with a twist of lime. Delicious and leaves you full of vitality due to all the associated health benefits Oolong is famous for. Anxi 'Tieguanyin' Pure Leaf Teas Brews 60 Cups Origin Anxi, Fujian China Black Dragon oolong is grown in the mountains of Anxi County, the home of oolong tea in China. There are at least twelve oolong tea plant cultivars growing in Anxi, each with its own distinct flavor profile. The most famous of these cultivars is Tieguanyin, meaning "Iron Goddess of Mercy" in Mandarin. Oolongs Oolongs range in their flavor (mild and floral to strong and toasty) and color (from light green to dark) depending on the processing technique adopted. Black Dragon is a darker oolong with high oxidization. Rolling Technique Leaves are plucked and then withered to reduce moisture. When suitable leaf suppleness is achieved, traditional rolling techniques (wrapping the leaves in a cloth and binding it tightly into ball shape) are applied in conjunction with light roasting. Roasting Successive and short re-rolling and re-roastings are done to achieve the optimal shape and flavor. A final roast is given to complete the processing. Flavor Profile Toasted aroma with a sweet, strong, grain aftertaste.

The leaves are rolled up in balls and make a pleasing "ping" sound when they hit the bottom of the pot. Love the rich savory taste, not quite smoky but similar and tastes very fresh.

This Anxi Tieguanyin 'Black Dragon' is a standout. It has a smooth, medium-bodied profile with complex floral notes and a clean finish. You can tell these are high-quality whole leaves because they unfurl beautifully and can be steeped multiple times without becoming bitter. A true classic for Oolong fans.
This tea tastes fresh and smooth, and you can tell the leaves are good quality. One serving makes a few cups, and they all come out consistent with no weird aftertaste. Definitely one I’d buy again.
