Anxi 'Ben Shan' Brews 50 Cups Pure Leaf Teas Origin Anxi, Fujian, China Green Dragon oolong is grown in the mountains of Anxi County, the home of oolong tea in China. There are several oolong tea plant cultivars (at least 12) growing in Anxi, each with its own distinct flavor profile. The most famous of these cultivars is Tieguanyin. Ben Shan is another popular cultivar known for its light, floral character which shares some similarities to Tieguanyin. It is considered a 'clonal'- a tea plant propagated through cuttings. Greener Oolong Oolongs range in their flavor (mild and floral to strong and toasty) and color spectrum (from light green to dark) depending on the processing technique used. Green Dragon is a greener oolong with low oxidization. Sun Withering For Green Dragon, mature leaves are plucked and then withered in the sun (weather permitting) to reduce moisture. Traditional Rolling Once suitable suppleness is achieved, rolling techniques are applied, which include wrapping the leaves in cloth, then binding the cloth tightly into a ball shape. Roasting After rolling, leaves are lightly roasted. Successive re-rollings and re-roastings are done to achieve the optimal shape and flavor. A final roast is given to complete the processing. Got this tea for my husband to help his high cholesterol level and he likes it very much. It has mild taste, easy to drink. Good quality loose leaves tea, decent price and good size. I like a lot green tea. Tried different brands and types. This brand is amazing and has good quality products. Ingredients are good, taste is amazing. I use it usualle once a day in the morning. Package is very nice and comfortable. I have more tea types from this brand and also herbal tea and I'm very happy of quality!
Great quality. Tastes soo good and refreshing. Oolong is great after eating oily food. I heard it breaks sown the oil making it easier to digest.
This Oolong Green Dragon is an absolute winner for tea connoisseurs as well as someone who’s trying to replace a cup of coffee with something more refreshing yet containing less caffeine. This tea comes in a beautiful jar (I’m using it now to store some other tea) and is best served not piping hot but simply pleasantly hot. I’ve found that this way I could enjoy the flavour best. Not cheap but is worth every cent.
