Scutellaria Baicalensis (Scute) extract (baicalin) has multiple functions with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral and anti-cancer properties on specific diseases, especially against dengue virus (together with St. John's extract). One needs to take many capsules per day to be effective. Higher percentage of baicalin in the extract makes it more effective.
baicalin has been proven to help the body create more neurotransmitters and to aid in clearing inflammation . I've just started taking it and I'm noticing small changes , it will be interesting to see how much more it helps over time.

Dragon Herbs product the highest quality products though some are far too expensive to take long term at the recommended dosage. As this baicalin (Chinese Scullcap) is an extract it is actually not so expensive compared to other brands and it doesn't have any nasty fillers. I trust Ron Teagarden and his company. I take it to help stabilise mast cells.
I used it for my son with autism. It is supposed to be a good anti inflammatory but I haven't notived a difference in my son. The product is not necessarily bad but it might be he just needs something else.
I was looking for a skullcap supplement that did not have other ingredients. Was glad to find this and it seems like a quality brand and would buy again.
I believe it helps with my immunity but I combine it with other botanicals too, still I do recommend this product
