I have difficulty digesting even powdered protein supplements and this helps break down protein completely. I have tried other enzyme blends containing proteases like DPP-IV but this one seems to be the most effective.
Amongst all the protease enzymes I have tried for casein A1 breakdown, this one seems the most effective. Some of the products with DPP IV activity are good, namely Dr. Houston's AFP Peptizyde or TriEnza and Nature's Way's Gluten Digest, among others, but Aminolase TPA seems to break down those complex proteins completely, leaving no trace. Besides, it is an excellent companion of most protein shakes, making them 100% bioavailable. I, however, take Gluten Digest along with Lake Avenue Nutrition's or Isopure's whey protein isolate, because of the better price per serving, and I take Aminolase with any hard to digest casein A1 dairy products such as cream, ice cream, cheese, milk, etc. For those with gluten/gliadin intolerance, it might do the trick as well. Unfortunately, there are no enzymes to help with the breakdown of lectins available yet, so I've gotta strictly avoid those.
I no longer feel bloated after drinking protein shakes. From that product side, I learn protein can increase weight gain if you don't do heavy weight lifting or strenuous exercise. I'm very thankful for that. I have reduced protein intake since then.
Initially I felt great on these. I started taking them because tests showed that I was low in protein despite eating a non-vegetarian diet. However, after the first week, I developed an uncomfortable, jittery, "uneasy" feeling about 30-60min after having it with a meal, that lasted an hour or more. Perhaps too many amino acids were flooding my amino-starved system? I plan to try them again, but perhaps only with larger protein meals.

People with impaired digestion and absorption may not even be able to properly digest powdered protein supplements and may suffer protein deficiency as a result. This supplement really helps break down the protein.
The idea of the breakdown of proteins to amino acids much faster is great. This has really made a difference my digestive systems. I was having issues and had seen a couple of doctors; one had me on special enzymes. I came across Arthur Andrew's line of gut supplements and did some research. I decided to try Aminolase TPA, Syntol AMD and Floraphage. Huge help!!!
