I grew up eating coconut sugar and this is what it’s supposed to taste like. This lighter flavor requires a higher grade nectar and is processed at much lower temps than the dark ones. I find this a much more versatile flavor than the others as well. I make into a 2:1 or 3:1 syrup to keep on hand for cooking.
Nice, slightly caramel flavor, with a bit of crunch for texture. I have tried it sprinkled on yogurt, and mixed some with the True Citrus Orange Ginger powder to make a very nice iced tea (along with tea bags, of course!). Planning to try it in cookies, I think it will add a scrumptious flavor profile.
We love Big Tree Farms products. The packaging is perfect for our use and the purity of the ingredients are the type of quality we look for with our dietary needs. We don't frequently use sugar in our foods, however whenever we do we'd like it be a quality product like this. We'd purchase this again.
I typically substitute this coconut sugar when recipes call for brown refined sugar. It works just as well with the benefit of a slightly lower glycemic index. It tastes great when baking, but especially homemade ice cream.
It had a very slight hint of coconut, but mostly was more of a slightly more of a caramel taste. Very good price for the size of the package. Not overly sweet, but I used it in my coffee.
I use it as substitute for white sugar. And it just works fine. Not very fine grind, would not work maybe for coffee and stuff but for baking it is just fine. I use it for gingerbread cookies

Easy 1-to-1 substitution in most cooking for light brown sugar or even white sugar. Household members who have a continuous glucose monitor did not experience as high spikes when eating baked goods that used this instead of white sugar.
It’s great for cooking, like cakes and cookies, but not the best for drinks—you can really taste the difference. Still, it does the job for me
