I have been making sourdough bread for two years now. Have never had it turn out so perfectly using Dutch ovens (I have two loaf shaped and one 4.5 quart size). This bread oven has been a game changer! L O V E it!!! One thing I have done is consistently used corn meal lightly sprinkled on the bottom prior to putting the dough in the oven. No sticking issues.
I bought this round oven along with the oval oven. Before this purchase, my loaves did not rise as high in the oven. I have to learn when to take the lid off, for browning, but, the loaves are perfect every time. For a traditional sourdough loaf, it's does the job perfectly.
This created the best, tallest and crispiest crust loaf of bread I've ever made. While my Le Creuset dutch oven has been reliable and fine for bread, I was influenced by positive reviews of the bread oven and so glad I bought it. You will be too.
I purchased this bread oven for my wife so she could have a perfect way to bake her sourdough. It took a few times getting used to it with the bread dough, etc, but on that third time after she tweaked how she put the dough into the oven, it was perfect! This is a great purchase for sure and she is so happy with it!!

I have a few Le Creuset pots I wanted the bread oven for a while and since I was getting star money I figured now was the best time to purchase it. The color blue is beautiful the bread oven is well made, heavey and a nice addition to my collection. I have not used it yet.
