Philips Baristina Automatic Espresso Machine

I’ve always brewed espresso manually, but Baristina completely surprised me. It makes the whole process so much more convenient, while delivering a richer crema and better flavor than my manual setup. Taste is subjective, and my skills are definitely still at an amateur level, but Baristina is hands down the best solution for coffee enthusiasts who lack expert skills but refuse to compromise on quality. I’ve been using the Philips Baristina Espresso Machine every day, and it has made my coffee routine incredibly simple and enjoyable. The machine uses fresh coffee beans, which gives every cup a rich aroma and great flavor. I love how easy it is to use, just one swipe and the machine grinds, brews, and delivers quality coffee in moments. Another thing I appreciate is how quiet it is during operation. It’s also very easy to clean and maintain, making it practical for everyday use. Overall, it’s a convenient espresso machine (with a great design too) that consistently delivers delicious coffee with minimal effort.

The Baristina (BAR302/20) does what it claims: load whole beans, swipe the handle, and it grinds, tamps, and brews a shot in under a minute. The ceramic burr grinder and 16-bar pump produce a consistent, well-extracted espresso with good crema. It handles Espresso, Lungo, and Extra Intense settings reliably. It's compact, quiet, and easy to clean — you just rinse the portafilter, with no hidden compartments. The build is mostly plastic but feels solid, and the white finish with the wood handle looks good on a counter. Worth knowing before buying: there's no grind-size adjustment, so you can't dial in a shot if it tastes off, and there's no built-in milk frother — you'll need a separate one for lattes or cappuccinos. For straight espresso made simple and consistent, it works well and is good value.

Do not buy this machine if you drink coffee every single day. I purchased two machines—one for myself and one for my mother—and both began leaking after about six months of use. What a disappointment. There is no way to fix this issue because this product is not on the supported items list.

Love the auto grind feature and makes either espresso or lungo. Got it in white. Looks great in white kitchen coffee station. Not too wide on counter.

I absolutely love that it has a built in grinder, a stroke of genius is that the tamper has a button to eject used coffee. The bane of my existence is slamming tampers against my kitchen worktop to get the stuck coffee out of them. I loved that you slid the tamper to grind the coffee into it and then it started pouring your drink! I thought the milk frother was handy and stylish. But as time went on, I experienced problems. A major one being coffee spilling out from the machine after grinding. My once sleek new machine now has tiny coffee grounds stuck in it. The middle button doesn’t seem to do anything at all, instead of making a super large coffee. The instructions are not clear at times either. Pictures only is not helpful. The milk frother was great until I see I can barely put any milk in it before it will overflow. It’s quite a large device to give so little milk. My drink often has some coffee grounds in it due to the grinder issue. I will be contacting Philips but it’s not a glowing review for such an expensive machine.

Well, my morning routine at least! It has cut my coffee making time down to as little as 3 minutes. All I do is watch it do its magic! It’s so compact, easy to use and the coffee it produces is the best I’ve ever had, every time!

You put the coffee beans and it does everything for you. It's not very noisy as well which I love. Also when the coffee is being dispensed, it's very gentle and there is no spillage. The design of the machine is really stylish and compact, and very easy to clean as well.

Slightly more sophisticated than a pod machine but just as easy to use, this cracking little machine allows you to choose your own coffee beans and grinds them into a delicious cup of coffee. With two settings you can choose a long black or espresso, there is also an option to decide how strong you would like your coffee. Compared to other machines this little friend is reasonably quiet and gets the job done. There no huge frills but you do get a pretty decent cup of coffee quickly. This little machine is great for home. But would also suit offices, hairdressers or other places that want to offer something more than a pod or instant coffee.

I am really happy with my Baristina machine! I love how compact and seamless it is. It’s super easy to use and a nice step up from a pod machine but still easy to use and really fast from bean to cup! Cleaning and maintenance is easy and set up was simple. My only fault is the machine losers grip on my bench when inserting the portafilter. Would highly recommend as an entry level coffee machine for someone who love simplicity and efficiency.
