Omega 3 from fish can be hard because of the taste. That alone already makes the flaxseed oil a good alternative ingredient but it has other benefits for heart, cholesterol, anti inflammation, etc.i am happy with this product's quality. I find Swanson overall good, affordable and reliable brand with nice packaging.
My hair quality has deteriorated, it has become brittle and dry and I bought Flaxseed Oil High Lignan. I have been drinking it for 2 months now and the condition of my hair is great, it does not fall out, it shines and grows quickly.
Only just started my shih tzu on these as he has hair loss and dry skin, his fur is feeling much smoother, to early to say if it will help with hair loss. Definitely an improvement in his dry scales skin. No side effects no diarrhoea, very pleased with this peso far, will buy again, would recommend this product. Gave 4 stars as capsules on the large side my shih tzu.

I take it as well as give it to my rescue dogs that have been surgically sterilized for their hormone balancing requirements.
Good tablets, not too big, easy to swallow. You can also cut the tablet with scissors if you want to put the flaxseed onto food or in a juice. I'm using them for their anti-inflammatory and estrogen effects - I've definitely noticed a difference so will continue using these.

Overall, I think this is a solid flaxseed oil supplement especially if you: Prefer plant-based omega-3 sources Want lignans (for hormonal / cardiovascular support) Are okay with taking multiple softgels per day If I had to rate it, I’d say 4 out of 5. It’s reliable, decent quality, but not a “miracle” pill. For me, it’s a good long-term supportive supplement more than something with fast effects.
