My husband takes this as salmon oil is an exceptionally rich source of omega-3 which can help reduced the risk of heart disease, improved brain health, and reduced inflammation. We like that this is pure salmon oil and it's from wild caught salmon, not farmed. No side effects, no unpleasant taste or smell.

Although the product is enriched, it doesn’t have the high EPA and DPA levels of fish oil concentrates. However, salmon oil may provide its own particular benefits. Usual high quality and freshness expected from Carlson.

Carlson has a very good reputation for quality fish oil. I wanted to try it and see if it was superior in any way to other brands. The EPA DHA dosage is quite low, so maybe it is more expensive than other brands offering higher EPA DHA dosages. I am not sure I will reorder. I will probably look for a more economical, but good quality product.

The softgels are a good size and I've never experienced any fishy burps, which is a huge win. I can tell my skin is much more hydrated and less dry since I started taking them a few months ago. I also appreciate that it's a sustainable source of omega-3s. It's become a staple in our household for overall heart and brain health.
