This is the best spaghetti I have ever tasted! It has a very strong sourdough flavour, and it's made in Italy which means quality flour not sprayed with all the junk like it is here in North America. Great texture too, I hope to see this product more widely available in the coming years!
The quality of this sourdough pasta is outstanding. It has a fantastic taste and texture that holds up perfectly to any sauce. I love that the primary ingredient is organic and undergoes a traditional sourdough process, which makes it much lighter on the stomach than regular wheat pasta. The size of the 12 oz package is perfect for a few family meals. I use this specifically for dinner after long days because I don't feel bloated or heavy afterward. It’s a great healthy alternative for anyone who loves spaghetti but wants something more natural and easier to digest. Highly recommended!
Sick of all the "pea" based pasta's and this being Sourdough, it is easier to digest, although not gluten free. Adds an unexpected tang from the sourdough to your dish in an enjoyable way. Not for every sauce but it does not leave you feeling bloated. My kids even like it.
The Sourdough Spaghetti (12 oz) has a nice texture and cooks up well, but the flavor just isn’t for me. The sourdough taste is quite noticeable, and it gives the pasta a tang that doesn’t pair well with all sauces. It’s definitely unique and might appeal to someone who enjoys sourdough bread flavors, but I prefer a more neutral pasta. Decent quality overall, just not my taste.
The quality of this spaghetti was first-rate and although I make my own sourdough bread, never thought about using sourdough starter in pasta. The taste was slightly tangy that went very well paired well with the garlic cream sauce. The benefits of sourdough pasta are many including better mineral absorption and a lower glycemic index important for my diabetic husband. Will definitely buy this again.
The spaghetti is good. I was looking for something without starch and its composition was healthy so I decided to buy and try it. I didn't regret it. the taste was great.
This was an odd ball! Thought I’d give it a go! Sourdough spaghetti! Seriously! But omg I love it! Proper comfort food for those days you need a little love and indulgence! Even my wife loves it and that’s saying something!
I am trying to find alternatives to regular pasta and thought I would try this. I like that this is sourdough which is supposed to be better for you. I can tend to have some wheat/gluten intolerance issues and don't notice having as severe of issues when I eat this. The texture of the noodles is very similar to that of regular pasta but be careful that you don't overcook since it can tend to get a bit mushy and fall apart. I will mention that this has a very distinct flavor so if you don't like sourdough bread, you might not care for this. I'm happy with it, however, and will continue to purchase this in the future.
We tried this pasta for the first time, and we are pleasantly surprised that it was very tasty and delicious. We will be buying it again!
