I’ve been using this wakame in my homemade miso soup and really like it. The seaweed rehydrates nicely and has a mild, fresh flavor that complements the soup well without being too strong or salty. It’s easy to prepare and adds a great texture to the dish. I also appreciate that it’s wild-harvested and natural. A simple, high-quality ingredient that makes my miso soup taste more authentic and flavorful.

This is a great brand and a fantastic product. It is a much better quality than what I normally buy in speciality stores. This is my to-go-to product when making delicious miso soup.
Great quality. Simply one ingredient. Will be using it to supplement for my mineral needs. Good spice. I thought the quantity/size would’ve been less.. but it’s sufficient for my diet .. its benefits can be found online. I would recommend it. Doesn’t have a foul smell .. the package arrived quickly ..
Use a little bit in soup, soak in clean water and cut in small pieces, use the soaked water for the soup, no need for adding salt. If you have a bathtub, I use 1/6 kelp and 1/2 kilo of Celtic sea salt, makes you relaxed because off all the minerals, especially magnesium, iherb sells quality Celtic sea salt, try it before bed, the magnesium makes you relaxed. Enjoy it.
I bought three different seaweeds from Maine Coast Sea Vegetables. I put them in stews, bone broth slow cooker, and paella as it adds a little saltiness and lots of minerals. The 2011 Pacific accident is still spilling out into the ocean and I feel better that this is from Maine.
I love this seaweed company. The product is fresh and plentiful. I use lots of seaweed, it is loaded in trace minerals and iodine. Great product
Great quality, good ingredients, first time I had wild harvested wakame and its a lot better than the usual processed one from the Asian markets. Much better than the Chinese made ones. Only thing is that you have to cut off what you want with scissors, but it takes like 5 seconds.
I use for miso soup and need to cook for a while bc very tough. I prefer other types but have difficulty finding alternatives so continue to purchase this one.
Seems like a good quality product. I've never had another brand, so it's hard to know. The seaweed is a bit rubbery if eaten raw, but I've been able to eat it straight out of the bag.
I was really happy to find a more local source of seaweed for cooking Japanese food, and this brand doesn't disappoint. It has great flavor and goes a long way. Each piece expands a lot when you add it to soup, so you only need a few pieces, and the package goes a long way. Great way to get that Japanese taste.
