Contrary to what the box says, all lentils NEED to be soaked overnight before cooking and this is no different. Even then, they take a bit longer to cook than standard lentils. They're not the best lentils I've had (I prefer brown) but they're organic and a great basic food staple.
The packaging looks small, but the portion is great! I like the size for this price point.
Dried lentils for soup and dishes, they were overly dried, perhaps with age in the box? I was able to use half the box, no buying again. They tasted rancid and that for sure indication they were old. Not worth the effort of cooking them

Love these. These are my go-to when I'm looking for a good source of vegetarian protein. I love adding them to soups in the winter! I love that it's organic. The Eden brand is a great brand as well.
