I needed more gluten free iron rich breakfast options and wanted to try teff. Glad I did! Followed a recipe off line, with some adjustments and turns out tasty everytime. Teff has a unique taste that I like. I let it soak overnight and cook in the morning. I bought a very fine mesh strainer to clean it because the grain is microscopic. Bob's red mill always equals quality. Top with mangos, honey, Pistachios, pecans, Greek yogurt, etc...inturn a great breakfast option. I buy all the time but iherb had it at a reasonable price.

I have been ordering Teff grains since 4 years for my son. He has eczema and is allergic to eggs and nuts so he is quite limited in healthy breakfast dishes. I mix about 3-4 tablespoons of Teff porridge with 3 tablespoons of creamy Buckwheat cereal (which I also order from Herb) and cook it in hot water until it is creamy. My son eats this 2-3 times a week (with honey) and he loves it!
This was my first experience with Teff and I liked it! The texture reminded me of Malt-o meal. I think if you put in some cocoa powder, it would taste like the chocolate one :) It does taste best fresh kind of congeals once refrigerated and so takes awhile to heat up since it’s kind of a solid mass lol but doable. I enjoyed it and would make it again.
Very soft and tasty, loved it. Goes great with chicken or fish as a side dish
The tiniest grain in the world. It’s impossible to rinse because it just goes through the sifter. I made some for me and for my 7 months old bay. It tasted nice
I was looking for a nutritious, gluten-free grain to mix up my meals and I'm so glad I tried teff. It has a mild, slightly nutty flavor and cooks up into a wonderfully creamy porridge that's perfect for breakfast. I've also used it to make a unique and delicious twist on polenta. It's a versatile little grain that's now a staple in my pantry.
Absolutely love this product! It exceeded all my expectations. The quality is top-notch and reliable. Easy to use and very effective. Highly recommend to everyone!
Another quality product from Bob's red mill, a good sized package and after learning how to use it, I love the taste and naturally the many health benefits! my innitial mistake was trying to presoak the teff and drain the tiny grains, absolute no go...other than that, the only thing to do is follow the package instruction and wait patiently after it boils for it to collect itself into a red yummy couscous.
Bought this for my little boy who has celiac disease. 🌾🚫 He tolerates it really well and I’ve noticed a big improvement in his digestion and overall energy. Great quality and gentle formula — perfect for sensitive kids! 💚
I really enjoy cooking with Bob’s Red Mill Teff. The grains are fresh, clean, and cook up nicely into a creamy porridge or as a base for savory dishes. It has a mild, nutty flavor that pairs well with both sweet and savory toppings. I like that it’s naturally gluten-free and packed with nutrients, especially iron and protein. The bag is a generous size and lasts a while. It does take a bit of time to cook, but the nutritional benefits and taste make it worth it.
