I have many pairs of Hoka Cliftons and in those, the size women’s 9 wide is perfect. Unfortunately, in the Challenger gtx, although the width was fine, in length they were just a little too short - another half inch of length and I could have kept them. I liked the look of them and found them supportive. I wish Hoka would offer more goretex choices in wide widths!
Favorite Hokas! My favorite pair of Hoka's ever! They aren't as big or wide as my previous ones and they are so supportive.

i needed waterproof sneakers and these fit. i ordered wide and these seemed wider than my other wide hoes (not hokas) but i will wear heavier socks.
Good fit, comfortable right out of the box!
This shoe is very small. My normal she size is 6, but in Hoka Clifton, which I've been wearing for years, I take a 6 1/2. In this shoe I needed a 7. But it's very comfortable and wears very well.
OK looking shoe but totally doesn't fit at all. It was like it was a half size too big all around and almost felt like it must be meant for people where not only their feet swell but their heels and ankles also swell up because the area around the heel cup was almost as wide as the toe box. Also the support around the ankles is really high so it rubs against my ankle bone which was super uncomfortable.

I’ve worn the Hoka Gaviota for a few years and size 11M fit me well when I replaced the native insole with my custom orthotic. The Challenger 8 GTX is shorter in the toe, and my toe was bumping up against the toe of the shoe. Since they don’t come in size 11.5, I’ll try the size 12. If you need arch support, you’ll need orthotics since these shoes don’t provide it.
