Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Intense Wrinkle Cream

I specifically looked for a night cream built around ingredients backed by real research, not just marketing. This one pairs retinol with bakuchiol plus ferulic acid, all solidly proven actives. I don't know the exact concentrations though, and that's my only real question: it's clearly formulated to be gentle (zero irritation for me), but I do wonder if that gentleness means a lower dose of actives, and whether it's enough to really move the needle long-term versus just being a supportive, feel-good formula. Since I layer my retinol serum right over this every night, I can't isolate how much of any anti-aging effect is this cream versus the serum, they work together in my routine. What I can say for sure is that Dr. Dennis Gross' Wrinkle Cream nails the basics, hydrating and softening skin and leaving a perfect base for foundation the next morning. The texture is thick and airy, like whipped cream, cushiony rather than a light lotion. The scent is soft, lemony, and herbal, pleasant, and fades within half an hour. The jar isn't glass but a sturdy, glass-like plastic, heavy and satisfying to hold. I switched to this from SkinCeuticals' Age Interrupter, which I used for years. I like both, but this one edges ahead for me as it doesn't clog my pores like the SkinCeuticals cream did, and it's cheaper too. Glad I made the switch! 4/5. Great texture and totally gentle, docked a point only because I can't confirm the actives are dosed high enough to really deliver on the anti-aging claims alone.

I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately, it caused a major breakout for me. Definitely not for my skin type.

I’ve been using this product for a year, my skin is dry and it’s very noticeable when I don’t get my 8 hours of sleep (which happens regularly) but this is almost an instant fix, you can tell the consistency is rich, you need very little to cover your whole face, you can tell it gets absorbed by your skin and it leaves a very smooth and glowing skin and like a plump feeling afterwards.

This is such a UNIQUE products, that is super HYDRATING (plumps up the skin) and also helps reduce acne-prone skin (I had a lot of whiteheads). I usually break out when using occlusive (oily) creams, but this one has the opposite effect: it clears my skin AND plumps it up. Amazing. Works incredibly well with Tretinoin or other strong retinoid products (it brings back the moisture to the skin).

For me is the best product in years, I can see the difference in one week!

it is breaking me out so bad . not moisturizing enough. the texture of the cream is very soft and doesn't feel greasy but not hydrating either. every time I use it , I wake up with cheeks full of breakout . I have a lot of tolerance for retinol so I can't figure out which ingredient in the cream is causing those because it is not retinol for sure . I throw away the package so can't return it either. please test and be sure if it is right for you before losing original box for a return and do a patch test .

This used to be a great product but they changed the formula. It is much thicker now and very basic. I used the product for years when it had the orange lid. So sad they had to ruin it. I used to get compliments on my skin with the old product daily. Save your money and don't buy this.
