I got a free sample of this and I wanted to hate it so bad because of how expensive it is. It wears beautifully under makeup, keeps my skin hydrated for days, truly gives such a beautiful glow. I wish it didn’t have fragrance or it’d be a 10/10.

It is not at all greasy and I almost wanted to touch my face after applying it. I have a very sensitive skin and it worked wonderfully for me. I applied it in the morning bnefore going to work and it held up all day without me needing to reapply.
I’ve been meaning to try La Mer to compare it with Augustinus Bader. This creme is very good with hydration, a little goes a long way and it leaves my skin soft and supple. Perfect for winter season. i received a sample size for free from La Mer for testing and reviewing purpose. I wasn’t sure if a pea size would be enough for my face, especially with winter and the heater running all night. But this cream surprised me. It’s rich, texture is thick, but the trick is to warm it between your palms first. Once it softens up, it glides onto the skin so smoothly, almost like it melts right in. I’ve been using it at night after my serums, and by morning my skin still feels hydrated. The scent is classic La Mer, soft and light floral scent.

I wanted to love it but it broke my skin out after the first few uses.
My milia was gone due to my previous great skincare routine, and now it’s back due to this cream and worse than ever. Those prone to milia should avoid this product. It is really drying, and not hydrating. The scent is also really intense. It felt like pouring perfume on my face. For those who do not like intense perfume, pass.
This cream applies smoothly and absorbs quickly. It’s made for oilier skin. Feels siliconey. The smell is powdery kind of reminds me of an older ladies home and it lingers for a bit. The price of this cream is pretty expensive. I don’t know if I would pay this much personally for it. There are a lot of ingredients in this cream. The top ingredient is yeast. This version is so lightweight and fresh, while still as hydrating as the past version, fragrance is still the same but skin feels refreshed and awake. You can see a difference since the first use.
