Xylitol is a plant based sugar I use to make tea. It has a low glycemic index and helps to reduce oral cavities. It's best to combine this with stevia because too much xylitol can upset your digestive system. I only use half a cup in a picture of tea. Great quality and you can bake with it, as well. Stores nicely in the package it comes in.

I have tried using xylitol as a sweetener in the past but fidn it not as sweet as other low carb sweeteners. This time I wanted to try taking small amount of xylitol after meals to maintain healthy microbiome and improve gum health. This 1-lb package is just the right size and should last a while. The only ingredient is pure xylitol from plant source, and quality tested, The price was a bit less expensive without having to purchase a huge bag.

Great quality sweetener. Taste exactly like sugar, doesn’t have any weird aftertaste like some other sweeteners. I use it for my recipes and don’t see the difference between this and sugar. Package size could be a little bigger though, it doesn’t last long for a big family

To me, this tasted just like caster sugar, maybe a tad less sweet, but otherwise indistinguishable. I'm very sensitive to tastes and smells, and find all synthetic sugar substitutes and other natural sweeteners absolutely awful (apart from honey, which is ok). So xylitol looks like something I can explore further. Very pleased.
