R-Lipoic Acid, 100 mg, 60 Vegan Capsules

I've tried non-R form ALA, all of them make my urine smell funky, I guess I'm one of those who can't metabolize sulfa very well-when I eat asparagus, my urine also have the same funky smell.You may not notice the difference when you are on biochem ALA, but when you stop taking it, you will notice your blood sugar fluctuates

I took the cheaper alpha lipoic acid before but it gave me a nauseating feeling. This one suits my stomach. I take it to quench the extra free radicals generated by increased mitochondria activity due to other supplements. However, I've read reports saying that it can cause grey hair and hair loss if not taken with biotin.

r Lipoic acid is more biologically active than the synthetic s lipoic acid. Unless otherwise indicated supplements will be a mix of r and s ala. This was the most reasonably priced r-ala I could find. ALA is said to be more effective if taken in conjunction with acetyl-L-carnitine.

I like the quality and ingredients of this brand and the pill size is easy to swallow, and there's no after taste. I'm not sure if it's doing anything but I feel like it has good benefits to add into your diet for any age. I also like that the pills are packaged in a glass bottle.

Seems more effective than ALA but is hard to tell. Capsules seem good for better absorption - they're smallish too. Definitely take r-lipoic or ALA if you're fighting cancer.

I reviewed this product earlier. It is being studied for myelin sheath repain in M.S. but not this exact product. I wanted to at least try something to help me. Country Life is a good brand and I believe the other was just Lipoic Acid. This is R-Lipoic. Ask and herbal specialis or your Dr ( they likely do not know about supplements though, unless they are excetional).

First try, took it after lunch, can't sleep on that night, googled, yes it stated some may experienced insomnia, as side effect. Learnt my lesson, took half the capsule before 10am, and no more insomnia. It works differently for everyone. Remember to try out a smaller dose if it's your first time trying out lipoic acid. With the benefits it is giving, give it a try. Quality is so far good

I felt better recovery and it reduces bad effects of high sugar intake. (mental fog, headache etc). Always buy "R" lipoic acid. Others are almost useless I think.
